PWAC and TDC visit Fleurieu Milk to talk Kakadu Plum yoghurt

Margaret, Stephanie and Elizabeth from Palngun Wurnangat Aboriginal Corporation (PWAC), three key women in coordinating the Kakadu Plum harvest in Wadeye, and Scott from Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC), also based in Wadeye flew to Adelaide to meet with Fleurieu Milk to discuss growing opportunities for Kakadu Plum yoghurt. The yoghurt, produced by Fleurieu Milk using Kakadu Plum puree from Wadeye is being exported to Japan and trialled in the boutique retail sector. The collaboration was initially brought together by Something Wild Australia who developed the Kakadu Plum yoghurt product and is now clearing the way for PWAC, TDC and Fleurieu Milk to further develop the product and the market.
