Situated at the top of the Dampier Peninsula, Lombadina Aboriginal Corporation has been harvesting gubinge for a number of years. Community members harvest on their own traditional homelands and bring the fruit into town where it is inspected and weighed. Lombadina is currently rolling out an enrichment strategy, where gubinge trees are planted in and around the community, making it easier for people to harvest fruit.

The qulaity of fruit being harvested is high this year, and the harvest season is anticipated to continue until the end of February.
