APAC Food Safety Conference

Pat Torres from Mayi Harvests representing NAAKPA  attended the 26th Asia Pacific Food Safety Conference in Sydney on August 21,22 2019. There were nearly 200 delegates from the Food Safety sector in attendance representing food processers, manufacturers and retailers. It was a great opportunity to canvass Kakadu Plum and other bushfoods, particularly from a Food Safety and sustainability perspective. Paul Saeki, the Kakadu Plum Business Development Manager co-presented with Daniel Havers, Food Safety Auditor with SAI Global on the first day of the conference.  A copy of the presentation “Australian Native Foods- The journey to creating benchmarks for wild harvest food safety” is available below.
